The Salem band program consists of several performing ensembles. During the school day we have 2 concert bands, a symphonic band, a jazz band and percussion ensemble. After school ensembles are The Pride of Salem marching band, Indoor Percussion and Winterguard.

Symphonic & Concert Bands
The Concert Band Program in Salem City Schools begins in the 6th Grade. We have a 6th Grade Beginning Band a 7th grade intermediate Band and an 8th Grade Symphonic Band at Andrew Lewis Middle School. At Salem High School there is 2 Concert Bands and a Symphonic Band. The high school band includes students in 9th though 12th grade.
The Salem Jazz Band
The Jazz Band performs several times throughout the school year and different events. Performances include concerts, school lunches and community events. The jazz band is an auditioned group and only consists of 21 members.
